Penn State players gather to plead the allergenic to
Penn State nation. The players express their feeling toward the program by
stating that “This program was not built by one man, and this program is sure
as hell not going to get torn down by one man," Mauti said. "This
program was built on every alumni, every single player that came before us ...
built on their backs." It clear that Jerry Sandusky hurt Penn State and the state of Pennsylvania
with his sexual abuse allegations. The players want to more forward and help
the program achieve more than they ever have. All players of Penn State were
not present when some of the player went public. This either means that some
players are debating about transferring or they had something more important to
do. You form your own opinion
Personally,I feel bad for Paterno. It's a shame how one mistake can tarnish your entire reputation and everything he worked for. However, he is still at a wrong. As for penn state players, it's good to see how some of them are sticking together and making the best of the situation they were unfortunatle tossed into. They are going to rally together and bring back that program one day.
ReplyDeleteI think its important to state that "this program wasnt built by one man, and this program is sure as hell not going to get torn down by one man". As much as Paterno did for Penn State, he did not do it alone. Without the dedication and drive of his players he wouldn't have been the coach he was. As much as a coach can shape a player, a player shapes a coach just as much if not more.
ReplyDeleteI do believe that Paterno deserves a punishment, he was in the wrong, but I dont believe the boys should be punished... That might have been taking it a little too far.
