Tiger Woods went from the top of the world to one of the most disliked and trash talked athletes in the world in a few days. This was probably a really hard thing for Tiger to go through even though he did bring it upon himself. I think it is a little unfair the way athletes are watched under a microscope and everything they do is analyzed and talked about. Tiger Woods made a big mistake but it was a mistake the USA public shouldn't have even known about, it was in his personal life his and his families business. I feel bad for Tiger's wife and kids but I also unlike most people feel bad for Tiger. He made a mistake and people deserve second chances especially a guy like Tiger who had been in the spotlight since he was about 5 years old and until his slip up he handled it beautifully. Tiger Woods is one of the most dominant athletes in his sport we have ever seen and I think it would be a shame to remember him any differently because of a mistake he made in his personal life.
I would have to agree with you about it is no one else's business but because in todays era everything is publicized. But i disagree with one of the most disliked and trash talked athletes. Although what he did was very wrong, people still loved him for his game. Every time the PGA tour is on TV all I hear people ask how is Tiger doing, is he up or how far behind is he. I consistently hear people cheering for him hoping that he regains his crown and title as the best golfer in the world. There aren't to many people that i have heard say that hated or disliked Tiger. So i would have to say leave his personal life alone and put it to the side, and cheer for athlete and the game that everyone loves of Tiger because he still is and will be one of the best to ever play.
ReplyDeleteKevin, You make a very interesting point. Tiger had been in the spotlight practically his whole life, and nobody is perfect. Sure, the things he did get caught for were looked down upon him, but I feel like he shouldn't completely have that ruin his life. I would have to agree with what you are stating because I do feel like he can come out of this "rut" in a positive manner and make it back to being the champion he once was. Like i said earlier, nobody is perfect, and we all make mistakes. (Some worse than others, but thats beside the point). I feel like his private ice should be dealt with privately, not as public as it did get. Of course, some punishment should happen because of what he did, but I think he has lost enough already by jeopardizing his future with his family, and his career. I think its time that he turns over a new stone. And I believe he can do this.
